The Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP) program provides up to 50% matching funds for law enforcement agencies planning to purchase concealable and tactical body armor for their police officers. The Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant Act was created in 1998 and is a U.S. Department of Justice initiative to provide critical body armor resources and equipment to state and local law enforcement agencies. Over 13,000 jurisdictions have utilized the funds made available in the Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BVP) Program, over $277 million in federal funds have been committed to support the purchase of an estimated 800,000 bulletproof vests.
In order for your law enforcement agency to receive these funds, you must register with the BVP. Register your agency now before you have to wait another year!
